Sandra Maddison
Sandra has accumulated extensive experience working with some of New Zealand’s leading financial services companies. She started her career in Wellington in 2006, working for a major financial services company and moved to Invercargill in September 2007 when she joined a very successful local organisation. In June 2009 she joined AMP south Financial Services.
Sandra has New Zealand qualifications in business, management and human resources management, as well as a graduate diploma in public relations and communications from her home land Chile. She recently obtained her Certificate in Financial Services (Financial Advise) (Level 5) and become and Authorised Financial Adviser (for category 2 products only) in May 2011. She is a member of the Professional Advisers Association of New Zealand and the AMP Advisers Association.
Sandra keeps her qualifications up-to-date by completing at least 20 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) every two years as required by the PAA. CPD hours are earned by participating in approved courses, briefings, conferences and educational activities.
Sandra works with a wide range of clients, focusing in the areas of personal risk insurance and business insurance. She loves working with families and also working with small business giving advice on areas such as life insurance, trauma insurance, disability insurance, key person insurance and key shareholder agreements. Sandra has a particular interest in working with business risk planning.
Sandra loves working in the financial services industry and enjoys meeting and connecting with people. She takes a great deal of satisfaction in knowing that her recommendations and advice can make a big difference to her client’s lives. She sees one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is the opportunity to assist diverse groups of people and business to deliver the most relevant risk management solutions to meet their unique needs.
Sandra is married to Blair, who is also a financial adviser, they have a son Diego Alonso. Diego has brought so much happiness to her life and has made Sandra’s job more important than ever. She loves spending time with her family and friends, having good food and a good laugh. She brings her fabulous sense of humour into all aspects of her life and her work.
