The Trust seeks to support the sustainability and quality of health services to rural communities by: • supporting the recruitment of rural students into the health professional courses through preferential admission policies • encouraging both undergraduate and postgraduate students to pursue a career in rural health; • supporting the provision of innovative rural health education for students including visits to world centres of excellence; • further developing the experience of ‘real life’ learning with rural patients; • using technology to further relationships between general practices, rural and teaching hospitals • building awareness in both rural communities and the health care sector of the value of working together • acting as a catalyst for building and strengthening the relationship between community and rural health professionals.

The Victoria University of Wellington Law Students' Society (VUWLSS) is a student-run, representative organisation, with two primary aims. Firstly, as a representative body, VUWLSS is an advocate for all law students at Victoria University - at Faculty, University and national levels. Secondly, the VUWLSS are dedicated to making the experience of law school more rewarding, dynamic and interesting for all students. The Exec seeks to enhance students' time spent at law school through social, educational and competitive events. We aim to encourage a culture of getting involved, and making the most of the opportunities available to students. Volunteers offer a service to the public each day Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm. A JP service is also available. Mon, Tues, Wed 10-12pm and on Thurs, Fri 1-3pm. On Saturdays a Lawyer is available 9.30-10.30am.

Stand Children's Services provides a range of services and programmes based on current research and our own experience working with children and families over the last nine decades. Our services and programmes are child centred, family-driven, solution focused, collaborative, individualised, culturally competent, and community based. The concept of “Village” underpins our practice. This is a wraparound model that builds on child and family strengths and highlights team cohesiveness and mutual respect. Team members include children and young people, parents, field social workers, mentors, residential social workers, school social workers and other services and agencies involved with the child and family. Each team member brings their own unique knowledge and skills to the process. Stand Children's Services serves the child and family as a supportive partner in the process of: •assessing needs and strengths •regaining hope and motivation •developing insight and aspirations •making plans, and •achieving dreams
