H & J Bruce Transport began as a side-business for the owners, as more people asked for odd jobs to be done (moving fish from port to port, carting unusual items that couriers wouldn't - racing pigeons, and bigger quantities of seed to the farmers). The business grew. The owners decided maybe it was too big as a side-business and decided to take it to the next level: their own business. In 2004 Aoraki Furniture Services was purchased as a sister company to H & J Bruce Transport. Aoraki specialised in moving furniture, fragile items, building supplies and helping people to move house. Four years on, the businesses combined - bringing their strengths together to help move and transport things for everyday life. We still provide a family-based environment for staff and customers to interact in. We are a medium sized business with a big heart.
