Annalee is a Freelance Retoucher based in Northcote Point, Auckland, New Zealand.
She has an extensive background in the photographic industry and developed a true passion for images early on, beginning her career in 1989 as a Photographic Lab Technician at PCL Imaging in Parnell, Auckland where she worked for nearly 22 years. There she learned all aspects of photographic laboratory work – both analogue and digital.
In the early years her roles included Film Duplicates (Dupes), Camera Copies, Print Mounting & Finishing, Machine Printing, B&W and Colour Hand Printing, Large Format Mural Printing, Production Coordinating and Work Approval. When Adobe Photoshop came along she moved to the Digital Department where she learned Drum Scanning, File Preparation, Digital Photographic Printing, Restoration and most importantly Digital Retouching.
Digital Imaging and Retouching is where Annalee has found her calling. She has earned a reputation for producing high quality work for any application, but especially for the fashion industry. Annalee’s lab experience also means she knows how to prep and handle files correctly - a very important attribute when dealing with professional photographers or any part of the professional imaging industry. Her eye for detail and retouching skills take her abilities to an even higher level, allowing her to take on almost any project. That coupled with an extremely high work ethic make her an obvious choice for your next imaging job.
