Specialty Window Films has been operating in New Zealand as a distribution company for over 4 years. When the owner/operators Ross Eathorne/Jill Newth set up the business they recognised an opportunity to take their business window film experience from owning an installation business into distributing product. They recognised an untapped business opportunity and potential. Their distribution business has been built around the leading window film brand, Solar Gard and now has introduced Solyx decorative film to its product offering.
Given that New Zealand has one of the harshest UV climates on the planet, it occurred to Ross and Jill that being involved in the distribution of window film with its brand partners, that it was an opportunity to invest time and energy into the business .With an estimated 2% of glass with film installed onto it, they saw a need in the market for the distribution and support of quality product that could satisfy the needs of the market. But as Ross and Jill have learned over the years, there is a lot more to window film than meets the proverbial eye!
