Catherine and Jennie are the bakers behind Nicely Iced! A mother and daughter team, they live in Upper Hutt and have been baking for years. It all began 32 years ago when Jennie was about to celebrate her first birthday. A purchase of the now iconic NZ Women’s Weekly Birthday Cake book turned in to a passion for cake decorating. In time this evolved into hundreds of cakes, cookies and cupcakes in themes ranging from Under the Sea to Superheroes. Now there is a new and delicious smell of fresh baking in the air as they combine their talents to form Nicely Iced! Prices vary depending on the cake/cupcake, contact us to discuss further.

Akatarawa Blueberries is a small Organic Blueberry farm nestled in the tranquil Akatarawa valley, just a few minutes north of Upper Hutt.
We have 12 different varieties of Blueberries that ripen all through the summer. We are open for public picking Wed - Sunday 11am - 5pm (weather and crop permitting). We are also open most public holidays.
Our picking season lasts until the first frost of the year, usually sometime in April or May.

Since 2005 our head cheese maker Fiona Guyan has been producing magnificent sheep's milk cheeses, as seen by the tremendous range of awards that her cheeses have won at the NZ Cheese Awards. The cheeses are carefully handmade the traditional European way using Fiona's experiences in France, Germany and Italy.
The dairy is on a farm owned and managed by the Beuke family who have been on this land for many generations and on which they and their staff milk a large herd of East Friesian Sheep. The state of the art facility ensures quality while the cellaring carefully replicates traditional European cave storage conditions. Cheeses are hand turned, some being aged for more than 12 months before being released for sale.
We aim to provide high quality, wholesome, and flavoursome cheeses made from the best quality ingredients that we can obtain.
