The orchard is home to 85 acres of fruit trees, which include 17 apple varieties, pear, citrus as well as, fig, peach, plum and quinces. Our onsite market garden supplies the fresh seasonal vegetables, which end up in store minutes after harvest. To complement the fresh produce offering, Boric Food Market carries homegrown honey, free range eggs and it’s 100% pure apple juice – pressed from it’s own tree ripened apples. A range of award winning food products, an extensive fresh seafood bar, quality organic and free-range meats, gourmet delicatessen items, and local wines and boutique beers round out the offering. With a nod to the old ways of local food production and distribution, Boric Food Market offers a refreshing change from the supermarket experience.

Bailies Bar & Restaurant originally operated out of the Cathedral Square Warners precinct for nearly 30 years and was a favourite destination for thousands of loyal locals, visiting tourists and guests of honour. Sadly after being damaged in the February 2011 earthquake, both the Warners Hotel and Bailies Bar & Restaurant was demolished in November 2011. The new Bailies Bar & Restaurant is now open on the corner of Edgeware Road and Colombo Street and continues to deliver the same friendly ambience patrons enjoy. Bailies is operated by husband and wife team Lynne and Stan O’Keefe who are delighted to offer the famous Bailies hospitality in Christchurch once again.

The operation caters to over 1400 students daily and produces in excess of one million meals per annum. We use a fully computerised catering solution, operating on a 6-week menu cycle using standardised procedures and a database of over 1000 recipes. All our College Catering sites have a fully credited food safety program using HACCP principles.
