Located in the Central Business District of Gisborne/Turanga-nui-a-kiwa, the centre is situated on the banks of the Taruheru River. Picturesque views of the spring tides and riverside bird life set the scene for quality early childhood education and care.
We also have the benefit of close access to local amenities, such as the Tairawhiti Museum and HB Williams Memorial Library.
The centre was established in 1976 – the first in Gisborne - due to the demand for a child care service in the area. The centre is a community based, not for profit, parent association. We are a Charitable Entity and an Incorporated Society.
The integral rationale of SuperGrans is a volunteer service that offers practical assistance in learning homecare and life skills. We provde both in the 'classroom' services and 'one-on-one' mentoring with practical tuition that allows our whanau to maximize the resources available to them.
We aim to transfer practical homemaking knowledge and skills in order for them to improve the quiality of their and their families lives.
We are a organisation of people who are willing to share their knowledge with others. We bring together young and old to share knowlege and experiences that will positively affect the lives and families of those involved.
We increase awareness of using the resources that they have to improve their standard of living, not their living standards.
In 2000 a group of people were hustlers. They were stealing money from other people. They wanted by the govenment of NZ and they are hard to find, so if you can get them or try and call them. Maybe you can hire THE GTown Rollerz Gang.
We have a clubhouse with showers, 6 astro-turf courts (all floodlit). There is ample off-street parking.
We have two coaches; John Carlyon - Registrar/Certified Competition Coach NZ with a USA qualification as well as and Association Member of Tennis Australian Coaches, and Phil Hanson – Certified Junior Development Coach (TNZ/Tennis Australia) and is also an Association Member of Tennis Australian Coaches. John and Phil are assisted by a number of volunteers who have undergone Tennis New Zealand’s Community Coach training.
