We have 3 dorm rooms, one with 2 bunks, (3 single and 1 double bed) another with 6 bunks (all single) and the other the same, we have two bathrooms, a porch and a nice sized kitchen a comfy lounge and a laundry also a small grassy patch that can fit roughly 5 tents. We provide free muesli to all stayers and also free internet access, and friendly hospitality

Shambhala Guest House is situated up on a hill with magnificient views over Golden Bay. A 100 metre walk will get you down to our own secluded beach, where you can go swimming or snorkling, find beautiful shells and stones, and occasionally spot seals. There are also nice beach walks you can do in either direction depending on the tides.

Shambhala is set within artistic surroundings. Beautiful mosaic artwork, paintings and sculptures nourish your soul along with the natural beauty of the place. We do NOT offer a TV or wireless internet. There are internet cafes in Takaka, the main town in Golden Bay.
