From riches to rags and back again to riches. Such is the story not only of the inner Auckland suburbs, but also the Ray White Real Estate office that serves the community that has become the place to be for thousands of Aucklanders.
The inner city suburbs we serve, from Pt Chevalier, Herne Bay, St. Mary's Bay, Freemans Bay, Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Westmere and Arch Hill, is a small, unique and increasingly sought after geographic area, with streets of beautifully restored old villas and bungalows, offering proximity to the city centre, the harbour and the lifestyle increasingly desired by Aucklanders. But it wasn't always the case.
For many years, under the United banner, the office was the number one real estate company in the area. But a series of mishaps, including a major fire, saw it slip from its pre-eminent position.
This changed rapidly under the guiding hand of Bryce Earwaker with his enthusiasm for the area and his strong commitment to ethical business principles.
In 1998 Bryce was joined by Simon Damerell as a partner in the business, and both are very proud of the fact that at least one in three properties sold in our area is sold by Ray White Ponsonby.
We also dominate the auction market, carrying out more auctions per annum than any other company.
With a successful team of dedicated real estate professionals with a collective experience of in excess of 250 years, who all have an excellent knowledge of the Ponsonby market and based upon such sound ethics and principles, it is little wonder that Ray White Ponsonby became the top NZ office in the franchise in 1999/2000 and has been in the top 3 offices ever since.
