We have a wide range of trips to choose from. Try rafting over the worlds highest commercially rafted waterfall on the awesome Grade 5 Kaituna River. The Rangitaiki River has two sections, a grade 3 - 4 section featuring 14km of rapids and great scenery or the stunningly beautiful Grade 2 scenic trip suitable for children as young as 5. The Wairoa is a dam release river that runs selected Sundays from September to May and is the most technical of the trips we offer. We also offer Sea Kayaks and Sit on Top kayak freedom hire or tours on the local lakes, paddle to a secluded beach or enjoy a hot water swim only accessible by boat.

We pride ourselves on providing a unique experience for children and adults alike. We have a playground nestled in a paddock that has specially made pens for all our animals so the children can get up close and personal with them all. We have a large number of animals ...SHEEP/LAMBS,CALVES,GOATS,KUNE PIGS,DEER,GUINEA PIGS,ALPACA,CHICKENS,DUCKS,RABBITS,MINIATURE HORSES. We provide a 2hr experience. Petting, hand feeding, morning or afternoon tea and horse rides. All our animals are hand reared and so love human interaction which is great for children to be able to really get to know them. We are flexible with our visits and do try to tailor our packages to suite all our customers needs so please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements. We can cater for all different groups (schools, kindys, daycare, private groups, parties). This is a family bach that has been passed down through the generations and is one of the first houses on Paku Hill being built by Uncle Gilbert Flavell, who is no longer with us but his memory lives on in the bach with much of his travel memorabilia still decorating the walls.
