The Wairoa Water ski club is located on the banks of the Wairoa River in Northern Hawkes Bay. The club has been an integral part of the Wairoa River since the late 1950's when formed by a group of enthusiastic skiers.
The club is family orientated with a growing membership base, predominantly from the Hawkes bay / Gisborne region; We enjoy a large active youth membership. It has its own club boat and a large selection of ski equipment for members use.
In past years the club has enjoyed success nationally & internationally across the entire skiing spectrum.
In recent years some club members have enjoyed success nationally & internationally including 2 NZ junior barefoot champs, 1 world junior barefoot jump champ and numerous NZ Barefoot ski team members.
Projects planned for the coming year include a complete refurbishment of the clubrooms, this includes a bigger boatshed, internal stairway access to the upstairs lounge and a large upstairs deck.
The club runs regular ski schools & camps for skiers of all levels
