Formed in 1958 Te Uranga B2 Inc. was controlled by the departments of Maori Affairs and Lands and Survey.
Twenty-three years later (1981) control was in the hands of its owners.
Since then 3 neighbouring properties have been acquired increasing the land-holding to 2,188ha.
