New Plymouth Primal is a youth ministry in which Christ is elevated in youth culture by means of young people reaching young people. As of 11/04/13, every Thursday at 7pm we are committed to creating a place where anyone aged from 13-18 can come and hang out with friends and learn about Christ in a way relevant to them. Churches from around New Plymouth come to put together a re-enactment of the real story of Easter, once every 2 years. Next Production 2015. Beginning at the Journey to Jerusalem on the donkey to the Last supper, agony in the garden with the betrayal of Judas, Peters denial of Christ, Jesus before Pilate, the crucification and finally the Resurrection. More then 2500 primary school children take part in the easter alive each year. Night walk-through drama are also presented to allow members of the public to participate. Presented at the Central Baptist Centre. Each show lasting about 40 minutes.

Our history in this city dates back to the mid 1920’s. Although this church body has endured many generations, we continue to see God change lives, as we reach out to this community and beyond. For many years we were known as the New Plymouth Assembly of God church, however the name of the church was rebranded as citywestchurch in 2006. We remain privileged to be active members of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand. citywestchurch is a growing and vibrant church, with a mandate to be a significant church in the city of New Plymouth, reaching people with the love of Christ, building and releasing them to be all that God intended them to be. We meet every Sunday with two services in the western suburb of Whaler’s Gate, New Plymouth. Our morning service has children’s programs available for ages 2 – 12.
