Talking Hands classes teach sign through song, discussion, interactive activities and DVD’s. The classes are centered on the Internationally recognized series Baby Singing Time! The Baby Signing Time products can be purchased in class to assist with teaching your baby Sign Language at home. Come along to a FREE trial class to see how much fun a Talking Hands class is! Talking Hands teaches mainly American Sign Language with a few variations to include New Zealand Sign Language! The signs that are taught are relevant to this age group, mostly done with one hand and I try to make them easy to remember! The class is a great way to bond and interact with your child while learning at the same time! Classes are held from 10-10:30 on Mondays in the Khandallah Plunket Rooms. Everyone is invited to stay for a coffee and a chat after!

Community Access Sites can be in any community. If you have a computer with access to the internet and are willing to open up from 9am to 7pm on Census day (Tuesday 8 March) you can help your community go online and complete their census forms.
