Welcome to Mondo's fully licensed cafe. Ray and Raye specialise in providing that missing ingredient in most of our lives – relaxation. Our menu is designed with two things in mind: we believe that the portions should be large enough so that you actually get food with your meal and that pretension is no substitute for quality. There is a wide range of goodies for the littlies as well as great cafe fare for the adults, all priced to keep your wallet or purse calm. Nomad Café is unique to Whangarei. Nomad’s atmosphere is upbeat and vibrant, caters to a young but mature adult crowd and the restaurant provides seating for 50 patrons with upstairs floor seating, downstairs table seating and some alfresco dining. Nomad Cafe offers an exceptionally high standard of belly dance entertainment. Shisha is available. The menu represents flavors of The Middle East and also looks after the western pallet that isn't quite ready to venture too far out of the familiar.

Tonic Restaurant opened in December 1998 with Brad’s vision of wanting to bring a new standard of dining to the area. Having worked in a number of larger busy establishments, he planned to open a small intimate Restaurant, with an emphasis on creating a more personal dining experience. Within a year the Restaurant was receiving National Awards, and recognised as one of Northlands Finest. Brad creates and changes the menu every four or five months, so as to use fresh seasonal produce, which are sourced locally where possible. Old favourites such as French Onion Soup and Toffee Creme Brulee continue to feature in Menus due to their popularity. Tonic is open every night, with a Set Menu on Sundays, and bookings are recommended.

Body Fuel is now open and is the only Fresh Salad Bar in Whangarei. Choose from one of our daily ready made salads or build your own from our vast range of fresh greens, cheeses and roasted various nuts in our display cabinet. We also offer both protein fruit smoothies and a variety of green smoothies where you can add flax seed oil, vitamin C or a shot of protein to keep full. On a daily basis we also offer a vast range of delicious sandwiches. Ciabatta, wraps and homemade rye bread are our daily favourites. Come in and check out our healthy energy.
