Allandale School is a wonderful state primary school sited in the suburb of Kopeopeo, 3km southwest of the Whakatane township.

Te Kura o Te Pāroa is a Full Primary School situated 5km from Whakatane. Te Kura o Te Pāroa is unique in that it provides for both Mainstream (Auraki) Education and Total Immersion Māori (Rūmaki) Education teaching in the medium of the Māori Language. Te Kura o Te Pāroa caters for children of predominately Ngati Awa descent, with others from Iwi throughout the Bay of Plenty. Our school actively promotes the retention of Māori language as well as enhancing each child’s understanding of their culture and traditions. Te Kura o Te Pāroa actively promotes a culture of whakawhānaungatanga, respect and caring for others.
