The Wanganui Rugby Football Union (WRFU) is the governing body for rugby union in the Wanganui region of New Zealand. The Wanganui Rugby Football Union was formed in 1888. The Wanganui team play from Cooks Gardens, Wanganui, and have enjoyed much success on the playing field throughout their history. Since the introduction of the National Provincial Championship in 1976, the Wanganui team have gone on to win five provincial championships and have been finalists in each of the last four years in succession. The Wanganui team accepted promotion to the Air New Zealand Cup Division One competition for the 2010 season. The NZRU has announced another alteration to the NPC format for 2010 and 2011 however which means the Air New Zealand Cup will remain a 14-team competition for the next two years.

Wanganui club of the NZPCA. Situated at city end of Tayforth road on the Bristol family's property. Our rallies are most Sundays.930am-123pm GATES OPEN from 845am. Twilight jumping is Thursday evenings during Daylight saving. This is open to non members too. All potential members are welcome to come try pony club for 3 obligation free trials before completing paperwork and becoming a financial member. This is a volunteer organisation and all families are required to help with the running of our club.

Welcome to Wanganui City College Judo. Training times are 4:30 to 5:30 for juniors and 5:30 to 7:00 for seniors on Tuesday and Thursday. We train at the Wanganui City College gym. Head coach is Gary Davies who is third Dan and assistant coach Matt Gibson who is first Dan. Come down to the gym and give it a go every one is welcome.
