H & J Bruce Transport began as a side-business for the owners, as more people asked for odd jobs to be done (moving fish from port to port, carting unusual items that couriers wouldn't - racing pigeons, and bigger quantities of seed to the farmers). The business grew. The owners decided maybe it was too big as a side-business and decided to take it to the next level: their own business.
In 2004 Aoraki Furniture Services was purchased as a sister company to H & J Bruce Transport. Aoraki specialised in moving furniture, fragile items, building supplies and helping people to move house.
Four years on, the businesses combined - bringing their strengths together to help move and transport things for everyday life.
We still provide a family-based environment for staff and customers to interact in. We are a medium sized business with a big heart.
Driving Miss Daisy is a transport and companion service giving superior, reliable and above all friendly service for people who do not drive. We can get your children to school or to after school activities, transport you to medical/hair appointments, take you shopping or just go for a coffee.
