Approximately 1.6 million items are borrowed from the libraries each year. Over 900,000 visits were made to Tauranga libraries during the year, and another 130,000 visits made online. They come to browse, borrow, read, use the internet, find information, study, meet friends, attend an event or learn in a computer skills class.
