Herald on Sunday

Herald on Sunday

58 Albert Street, Auckland ,
The Herald on Sunday was formed in 2004 when parent company APN News & Media launched a brand new paper into an ever-changing and uncertain media landscape. Its compact size, hard-hitting style and focus on investigative journalism, a dedicated gossip section and magazine-style sport reportage stood it apart from other papers. Shayne Currie took over as editor in early 2005. He led the paper to Newspaper of the Year awards in 2008 and 2010 and oversaw consistent readership growth as the HoS became the third biggest newspaper in New Zealand. Bryce Johns became editor in July 2010 and has continued to lead the paper to growing circulation and readership. The HoS now has more than 100,000 circulation and 400,000 readership - one of the only papers around the world to still be growing in size during a period of declining print readerships. Sports editor Paul Lewis is a multi-award winning journalist who has covered major political, sporting and cultural events for nearly four decades.
