Lake Hood

Stranges Road, Ashburton, Ashburton ,
Spanning over 173 hectares – almost three kilometres in length and two kilometres wide – Lake Hood caters for almost every water sport imaginable. We have an eight lane international specification rowing course, international water ski course, jet skiing area and plenty of room to either swim, leisure boat, windsurf, kayak or whatever activity you can think of. The lakeside too offers an array of outdoor activities, with numerous lake, river and reserve walking and biking trails on 63 hectares of Aquatic Park Reserve land. Or, you can laze away your afternoon at one of our picnic areas, or the renowned Lakehouse Restaurant, café and bar. The residential development is set on the shores of the lake, interconnected by canals and bridges (influenced by traditional European waterside design). Sections, and house and land packages are available to own, with a selection of living styles on offer – from apartments and lakeside residences to rural homesteads.

96 Tancred Street, Ashburton ,
Kim Miller - Real Estate.....Ashburton First National I was thinking about my clients and my real estate service the other night, wondering which houses to show a client that would suit their large family, in the price range they were after. That's when it dawned on me - I'm not just selling a roof over your head, I am matching the right buyer with the right house. Watching the reactions of my clients when they view the property from the road and enter the front door tells me if it is love at first sight. So, in a way, I am a matchmaker, fixing you up with the home you will want to enjoy for years to come. From that first meeting with the house comes the dating phase. I find out what your first instincts are, what you think of the home in general and if you think you would like to enjoy more time with it. I then keep you updated with phone calls, texts and emails whilst keeping an eye out just in case something more suited comes along. It's the same with selling your home. You need the right buyer to appreciate all the hard work you have put into your home. You also need daily updates as to how things are going. That's where the House Matcher idea came from. I am not an agent trying to get the fastest sale, I work hard to get you the best deal fo the home of your dreams, in a timeframe that suits you. I hope you like my new direction on real estate. I have many more ideas and thoughts to share with you each month.
