Minaret Outfitters

Minaret Outfitters

10 Lloyd Dunn Ave, Wanaka Airport, Wanaka ,
Minaret Outfitters is headed by Matt Wallis one of four brothers involved in the family operation. Their enthusiasm for the outdoors was instilled through their father Sir Tim Wallis, who pioneered access to remote fishing and hunting destinations within New Zealand’s backcountry through the use of helicopters. The name Minaret is taken from the 6,500 ft mountains known as the Minaret Peaks which stand prominently over the family property. This family owned property named Minaret Station, spans over 55,000 acres and has 25km of lakefront on the western shores of Lake Wanaka. It is also a working high country farm taking full advantage of the natural livestock benefits that stem from its isolated wilderness location. The property is isolated by having no road access. Surrounded by two large rivers, Lake Wanaka as well as Mount Aspiring National Park to the west, it creates the perfect frame for a true wilderness playground.
