At the beginning of 1958, Gilles le Bret set up a technical laboratory locally with the aim of researching the benefits of the botanic extract on human body and hair cells.
Up through 1965, in order to transfer the valuable research results to the products, Gilles le Bret formally found DANCOLY COSMETIQUE, which specializes in manufacturing a series of cosmetics with an all-natural botanic extract. Four years later, the company launched the DANCOLY SPA hair beauty series which were formulated with botanic extract and oil. Upon their launch, the products met with wide success in the consumer market, which allowed the DANCOLY Company to lay a strong foundation for further development.
However, Gilles le Bret didn’t stop there; instead, he spent more time and energy on further research and innovation of the products. In 1980, Gilles le Bret discovered that the essence extracted from deep-sea seaweeds and various biological active ingredients have amazing effect repairing dry and damaged hair. He immediately invited his good friend George Girartin—a leading hair designer in France, to join his team. As a result of their concerted effort, the DANCOLY Company released the ANGEL series two years later. Soon after its introduction to the market, due to its amazing results and perfect quality, the ANGEL series quickly attracted attention and caused a hot discussion in the hair beauty field. From then on, the DANCOLY Company constantly seeks to improve and perfect its brand lines and marketing, thereby allowing the ANGEL series to become a leading brand in France and European hair beauty field.
With the development of the DANCOLY Company and its expansion into the international arena, since 1998, Dancoly has begun its step in building up a global brand. Dancoly’s Angel Professional Paris brand’s THE POWER OF THE OCEAN DEPTHS is a different and only concept in the hair and beauty industry. Other than purity of ingredients used, the Deep-Sea Water in our formulations is very unique and advanced hair care method.
The Deep-Sea Water from 320 meters deep contains over 60 kinds of minerals and 10 kinds of rare micro element through thousands years of deep water circulation. Decomposed using advanced sophisticated patent Technology, these minerals turn into ion swarm, which can instantly absorb the positive ion in cytoclasis, lipid, bacteria, toxin etc. It has strong penetrability to replenish nutrients and moisture in the hair, improves blood circulation and recovers the marine collagen, making the hair shiny and vibrant.
The deep sea water can’t be used directly as we need to use our specially designed filtration plant to filtrate all harmful elements (including suspended solid material) contained in the seawater. This is the first process, and then when it is going to be used as the base material for products, we use the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System (with 99% desalination rate) to get the final water for production.
