Blitz Surf Shop is a Gisborne icon. It is the second oldest established surf shop in New Zealand and has been providing the people of Gisborne, the East Coast and all our welcome visitors with the latest surf gear and fashion since 1983. Blitz changed hands in December 2009 and we plan to continue keeping our valued customers provided with the latest and greatest gear whilst continuing to build our reputation throughout New Zealand and the surfing world. July 2012 was the time to lead the Gisborne surf shops into the future with the launch of our new online store so we can continue to provide customers from further afield with a great shopping experience.

The Learning4 Store is a retail outlet of educational resources and games for all ages. The friendly staff, Jennie and Pat welcome everyone to come and discover the “hidden” treasure trove that is the L4 Store. The Learning4 Store stocks an impressive range of text and non-text educational resources. We have text resources to support the school curriculum in all areas. There’s also a huge range of non-text items which include games, charts, awards, certificates, trimmers, bulletin boards and stickers to name a few. Customers include schools, early childhood and tertiary institutions as well as teachers, students and the general public. “Everyone is welcome” at the Learning4 Store. There is a customer loyalty programme and discounts for tertiary students on presentation of ID cards. Based in the Education Centre on the corner of Bright & Kahutia St (opposite Plumbing World), The Learning4 Store (Gisborne) has educational resources catering for every child with a fabulous range of interactive games and activities that not only are fun to use but help teach your children important skills. We have posters, educational work books, puzzles, games, flash cards, stationery, task boards, numeracy equipment, certificates, learning aids and so much more. The great staff are in store to assist you in finding the correct product for your child. And it’s not only children we cater for. We have some wonderful Mind Challenge games that are great for all ages and make wonderful gifts for that person who has everything. Learning4 offers a wide range of workshops providing professional development and professional learning opportunities for educators and parents. These are all administered by the Learning4 Store staff and they are happy to answer your queries about upcoming workshops. Gene Walker and Chelsea Thorpe-Walker have joined together their passions and opening a design store in Gisborne's Ballance Street Village. Chelsea has searched far and wide for useful beautiful objects for your home. Inspired by her girls Primrose and Coco, Chelsea has created a organic baby clothing range 'Willowsong'. She has also recreated a small collection of silk dresses from her previous life as a clothing designer. Gene, has picked and produced a small selection of design inspired works that will be shown in an intimate gallery above the store, while actively promoting the family's premium wine labels.
