Affair of the Heart is a showcase of art, sculpture and craft with works by local and regional artists exhibited and on sale. It's run by a dedicated committee of Northcote College parents and volunteers and has grown since it started in 2005 to become a fixture in the annual calendar of events both for Northcote College and the Northcote and Birkenhead community. Funds raised for the school over the years are impressive. The benefits for Northcote College have been enormous. Funds have been used to purchase hall theatre equipment, including lighting, a haze machine, microphones, two high-end projectors with motorised screens, and a PA system. Funds have also allowed for the construction of a sound room backstage. We have been able to purchase data projector screens for classrooms, iMac computers, a digital piano and an amplifier. Affair of the Heart has paid for some AV technician's time.
