Dental issues can affect the health of a horse in many ways including weightloss, poor digestion, poor absorption, infections in the oral cavity, ulceration in the digestive tract, muscle loss and general unwellness. Additionally, pain and discomfort in the mouth can also affect our horses when they are being ridden and can cause head shaking, bit refusal, holding of the bit, bucking and rearing.
