An amazing heritage cinema built in 1924 by voluntary labour as the town hall/theatre and wired ready for the town electricity supply in 1926. This added silent movies to the village entertainment (usually followed by moving the seats and live band with dancing). Still showing current movies and also live music every 4 - 6 weeks. Stunning local and international artists who have commented on the ambience and excellent acoustics in this purpose built building. The fixed screen means a temporary stage is currently used for live performances with the plan to attach a movable screen for the use of the original large stage area.
