Rotorua Dog Obedience Club (RDOC)

Karenga Park, Bennetts Road, , Rotorua ,
RDOC runs dog obedience training classes for members at recreational and competitive levels. We provide dog obedience classes (currently three times per year) for the general public. Here, dog owners are taught techniques for handling and training their dogs to be well behaved in both public and home environments. The club teaches and encourages responsible dog ownership. Approximately 75 owners and dogs attend our public classes each year. The Club offers agility, fly-agility and rally-obedience classes for fun and for competition training. We have introduced a Canine Good Citizen class. This is a nationally recognized certificate at four levels, awarded by the NZ Kennel Club and recognized by many local authorities in their dog licensing regulations. RDOC runs competitions throughout the year in the various disciplines: Obedience, Agility, Fly agility and Rally-Obedience. These competitions attract entrants from throughout New Zealand.
