NorthSport Olympic Weightlifting (N.O.W) has experienced phenomenal success on the National and International stage. Since the club’s inception in 2002 at the Millennium Institute of Sport and Health, NorthSport athletes have dominated the New Zealand rankings in both male and female divisions of all age groups. North Sport has consistently produced World class athletes who have represented New Zealand at numerous pinnacle events.
NorthSport Olympic Weightlifting continues to grow on a yearly basis. Of particular importance is the fact that female participation within our sport has nearly tripled over the past two years thanks to the efforts of N.O.W.
With international quality training and competition equipment, N.O.W has been the preferred venue to hosts a number of NZ Training camps.
NorthSport Olympic Weightlifting Club is encouraging new athletes to participate in competitive weightlifting and experience the thrill of one of the world’s oldest Olympic sports.
