New Plymouth golf club “Ngamotu” is one of New Zealand’s golfing Jewels. Consistently rated among the top 10 golf clubs in New Zealand with its classic par-72 layout & a superb golf challenge. Established 99 years ago on the outskirts of Taranaki’s main centre New Plymouth. It has been host to four New Zealand open Championships & numerous national & provincial amateur events. Ngamotu is designed so that both nines sweep out from the clubhouse in two giant loops, which means that no matter which way the wind is blowing, there will be adventure for players at some time or other during each round.

We meet the first Wednesday of each month at Decanta Tapas Bar, 17 Devon Street West, New Plymouth.. Club run is the last Sunday of each month.

You will find that we have the highly sought after lines fiercely protected today and at times foals may be for sale. Some of our lines include The Road Sweeper, The Lion King, The Old Paddy Horse, Sids Good Stallion aka (The Frainey Horse), Tony Smith's Fleetwood, Harkers TIDD, The Lob, The Old henry Horse, DJ The Lenny's Horse are bloodlines that join our table here at Koru Gypsy Cobs New Zealand.
