PISGAH DOWNS "Where you can do everything or nothing!" Escape to the tranquility of the back and beyond. We are nestled an easy 40 minute drive from historic Oamaru. Also we are only 15 minutes away from Duntroon, which is part of the Alps to Ocean Cycle Trail. We offer you a unique opportunity to holiday at your own pace and choose from the following activities:- Fly Fishing Hunting Tramping Mountain Biking Golf (Tokarahi Golf Course less than10 minutes away) Swimming Holes Horse Riding (for the experienced only!!) Or just read a book and enjoy the spectacular scenery We offer a variety of accommodation. We have a homestay option which can include dinner, bed and breakfast and packed lunch. We also offer the Spring Creek Hut which is a fantastic way of getting away from it all – literally! It's about an hour's drive away from the main homestead. It is self care, but sleeps 4 and includes gas cooking facilities and lighting. There is also a 'long drop' a few yards away. We have catered for newlyweds on their honeymoon at our hut. They rode our horses out and were helicoptered back in! The hut was specially decked out for their arrival. They feasted on French Champagne, oysters, home smoked salmon, homemade pate and a three course meal. We also have self-care huts a few minutes behind the main homestead. This has electricity and is self-catering, although dinner, breakfast and packed lunch can be provided by arrangement.
