The Lambies Holiday House - Queen Charlotte Drive

Queen Charlotte Drive, Linkwater/Havelock, Havelock ,
Located between Linkwater and Havelock along the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive, The Lambies holiday House is a beautiful modern bach available for short term rentals throughout the year. Anna & Andrew Lambie brought the property in February 2011 and have extensively renovated both the property and grounds to showcase the stunning vista that is Belvue Bay and the Marlborough Sounds landscape. The property has 2 bedrooms and a caravan and boasts private beach access, landscaped gardens, An expansive elevated sun deck with entertaining areas and water sports equipment to get out on the bay. Although typically a Spring and Summer destination, The property is comfortable and enjoyable all year round for up to 6 adults and accordingly seasonal rates do change to reflect demand for region within peak and off peak times. Location is everything! And as such the holiday house truely has the best of all worlds. - The house sits in the centre of a near perfect triangle between Nelson, Blenheim and Picton with easy commute times and stunning drives to each. Queen Charlotte Drive is a popular tourist hotspot especially for those wanting to complete the Queen Charlotte Track (a 3-4 day hike through Endeavour Inlet, Punga Cove, and Portage to Anakiwa) yet the Lambies house is located at the other end of the drive (approximately 25minutes away) where the limited traffic and visitors are predominantly locals. The house is also a handy 10 minute drive from the local village Havelock (population 486) where Ernest Rutherford and William Hayward Pickering went to school. Havelock is the gateway to the Pelorus, Kenepuru and Mahau Sounds and the local marina operates water taxis, fishing charters, boat hire and tours of the sounds and bays including tours of the mussel farms. A further 30 minutes from Havelock (40 minutes drive in total) from the house is Blenheim, the heart of the Marlborough wine region which boasts 142 Wineries and award winning Vineyards famed for producing the worlds best Sauvignon Blanc amongst others. Tours of the wine trails are also available throughout the region from here.
